"Kimono" Series

These etchings document and on-going response to a T-shaped copper printing plate. The techniques include etching, drypoint, aquatint, sugarlift, and chine collee. In some works, rice paper which had absorbed watercolour, was folded to add colour and texture and then placed on the plate and passed through the printing press.
A series of 37 etchings. Sizes: 29X38cm & 56X37.5cm.

Chairs

Towards abstraction  -- transforming the contour lines and  curves of a group of chairs into a “calligraphy” by means of a variety of etching techniques:

etching, sugarlift, aquatint.
